Music video for Mirrors by Emil Friis
Story/Direction: Morgan Jon Fox
DP/Editor: Jack Prudhomme
Starring Leo Prudhomme & Gwin
In a virtual intercontinental collaboration between Denmark, Chicago and Memphis, a music video was created for Danish film Composer Emil Friis’ new track, Mirrors.
The video concept and direction was helmed by American filmmaker Morgan Jon Fox whose recent award winning short film The One You Never Forget was scored by Friis. The Mirrors video was shot and edited in Memphis, TN by Fox’s frequent collaborator Jack Prudhomme, starring his brother Leo Prudhomme and their dog, Gwin. Adhering to social distancing guidelines, Fox directed remotely, Facetiming in for notes during production and post production, as dailies were sent to Friis via file sharing services. The end result is a short and sweet 2 minutes of quarantine hope that blend dreamy, slo-motion images with Friis’ melodic piano composition.
Emil Friis is a self-taught musician and producer who has carved out a successful career as a film composer in both Danish and American TV and Film productions.
